As Graphic Designer, you’ll work with business area stakeholders and Marketing to develop and implement creative visual design/communication solutions for various print and digital projects. Projects include but are not limited to: brochures, flyers, tradeshow collateral, newsletters, advertisements, posters, user interface, and brand assets. You’ll collaborate with other creative professionals to generate design concepts and marketing strategies and develop brand assets such as logos and identity materials. In this role, you’ll prepare files for production/printing in addition to preparing and making presentations and comprehensives as necessary. You’ll be tasked with producing status reports and managing Verisk’s purchasing procedures, including bids, vendor contracts, requisitions, etc., and maintaining records of such. Other responsibilities include staying up to date on industry trends and advancements and managing all aspects of projects from conception to completion. Here you will leverage your expertise to elevate the awareness of good design at Verisk Analytics, promote internally the work of Design Services, and support and enhance Verisk design sensibilities and standards.
Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or equivalent work experience
Three to five years of graphic design experience
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
Strong organizational skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Conscientious attention to detail
Must be self-motivated, imaginative, and creative
Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite especially InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop
Proficiency with the Mac platform
Excellent typographic skills
Excellent typesetting and production skills
Experience with printing techniques
Experience with corporate branding
Ability to work under pressure and prioritize projects in order to meet tight deadlines
Ability to multi-task and move quickly if needed
Focused on team success
Excellent written communication and documentation skills.
Experience with Microsoft Office, specifically PowerPoint, is a plus
Experience with web design (HTML5/CSS) and other interactive design is a plus
Experience with Adobe DPS and other mobile publishing techniques is a plus
Illustration skills are a plus
Experience with Digital Asset Management systems a plus
