Lucid Dreaming
Info
Description
I have a strong fascination with the night and the city. I am not certain where this fascination originated, but I think it likely developed out of the films, comics, video games and other media I experienced through my childhood in the 1980’s.
I wanted to experience these kinds of places and scenarios, so I used the camera as an excuse and went out searching. I quickly became disillusioned with the realization that what I sought to experience could only exist in the photographs I made, but simultaneously became liberated as I found I could use the camera to construct any kind of fictional experience I wanted.
The resulting photographs document my physical experiences and simultaneously create a supposition for fictional places and experiences I could never actually live.
