"Delicate Violence" is a work in progress.
It came about as an installation piece that I had to do for a performance artist for documentation sake. I took a couple of shots and soon discovered that as I stared into the image, my stare
began to dive in between the lace, almost like voyeur looking for the body beneath.
My eyes entered each woven hole as it became an erotic portal, this mask, laced prison bars that indulged you into looking further on beneath its intricate surface.
It provoked undressing what was already undressed and finding it naked yet ambiguous. All the privacy in the world of who was beneath and yet she stares at you clearly.
Thus, the violence was my in eyes as much as it was in the lace that covered them, as they stared back at me and i stood there transparent without obstacles.
